What is a temporary residence card?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Temporary residence card is a document issued by the immigration management agency or a competent agency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to foreigners who are allowed to reside for a period of time in Vietnam and is valid in lieu of a visa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"474\" height=\"306\" src=\"https:\/\/247visa.vn\/247visa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/OIP-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1413\" style=\"width:508px;height:328px\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>2. Cases of being granted temporary residence cards<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cases of being granted temporary residence cards include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>- Case 1:<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;Foreigners who are members of diplomatic missions, consular offices, representative offices of international organizations under the United Nations, intergovernmental organizations in Vietnam and their spouses, children under 18 years old, helper along with the term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The temporary residence card in this case has the symbol NG3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2013 Case 2:<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;Foreigners entering the country with visas with symbols LV1, LV2, LS, DT1, DT2, DT3, NN1, NN2, DH, PV1, LD1, LD2, TT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The temporary residence card in this case has a symbol similar to the visa symbol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3. Procedures for granting temporary residence cards to foreigners in Vietnam<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Procedures for granting temporary residence cards are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Diplomatic missions, consulates or other authorized foreign agencies in Vietnam submit dossiers to request a temporary residence card with the symbol NG3 at the competent agency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Inviting or sponsoring agencies, organizations and individuals directly submit applications for temporary residence cards to foreigners in case 2 at the immigration management agency where the inviting or sponsoring agency or organization is headquartered or where the inviting or sponsoring individual resides;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Within 05 working days from the date of receiving complete documents, the immigration management agency or competent agency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will consider issuing a temporary residence card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5. Temporary residence card validity<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 The duration of the temporary residence card issued is at least 30 days shorter than the remaining validity of the passport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Temporary residence card with symbol DT1 is valid for no more than 10 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Temporary residence cards with symbols NG3, LV1, LV2, LS, DT2 and DH are valid for no more than 5 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Temporary residence cards with symbols NN1, NN2, DT3, TT are valid for no more than 03 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Temporary residence cards with symbols LD1, LD2 and PV1 are valid for no more than 02 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Expired temporary residence cards will be considered for issuance of new cards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Need more detailed information, please contact <strong>Hotline: 0287 1015 246<\/strong> for guidance.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In addition to a visa to stay in Vietnam, to be able to stay longer, foreigners can or are required to apply for a Temporary Residence Card (depending on the case).
