Foreigners who want to enter Vietnam must have visa (visa) issued by a competent Vietnamese agency and other documents as prescribed, except in the case of some nationalities exempted from visas under treaties and visa exemption agreements with Vietnam. 1. Visa symbol

Pursuant to Article 8 Law on Entry, Exit, Transit, and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam 2014 SChanged 2019 Regulations on visa symbols are as follows:

  • NG1 – Issued to members of the delegation invited by the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the President, the President of the National Assembly, the Prime Minister.
  • NG2 – Issued to members of the delegation invited by the Standing Committee of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vice President of the State, the Vice President of the National Assembly, the Deputy Prime Minister, the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nam, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, Director of the Supreme People's Procuracy, State Auditor General; members of guest delegations of the same level of ministers and equivalents, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, President of the People's Council, President of the People's Committee of the province or city directly under the Central Government.
  • NG3 – Issued to members of diplomatic missions, consular offices, representative offices of international organizations of the United Nations, representative offices of intergovernmental organizations and their spouses, children under 18 years of age, helper along with the term.

  • LV2 – Issued to people working with socio-political organizations, social organizations, and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
  • LS – Issued to foreign lawyers practicing in Vietnam.
  • Phone 1 – Issued to foreign investors in Vietnam and representatives of foreign organizations investing in Vietnam with a contributed capital of VND 100 billion or more or investing in investment-preferred industries or areas. Investment incentives are decided by the Government.
  • Phone2 – Issued to foreign investors in Vietnam and representatives of foreign organizations investing in Vietnam with a contributed capital of between VND 50 billion and under VND 100 billion or investing in industries or professions that encourage investment. development is decided by the Government.

  • NN1 – Issued to people who are Heads of representative offices or projects of international organizations and foreign non-governmental organizations in Vietnam.
  • NN2 – Issued to heads of representative offices, branches of foreign traders, representative offices of foreign economic, cultural and other professional organizations in Vietnam.
  • NN3 – Issued to people working with foreign non-governmental organizations, representative offices, branches of foreign traders, representative offices of economic, cultural and other foreign professional organizations in Vietnam. Vietnam.

  • VR – Issued to people visiting relatives or for other purposes.

  • EV- Electronic visa

2.Visa duration

The duration of the visa is specified in Article 9 Law on Entry, Exit, Transit, and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam 2014 SChanged 2019 as follows:

  • Sign visa SQ, EV for a period not exceeding 30 days.
  • Sign visa Hanoi, DL with a term of not more than 03 months.
  • Sign visa VR with a term of not more than 06 months.
  • Visa symbol NG1, NG2, NG3, NG4, LV1, LV2, DT4, DN1, DN2, NN1, NN2, NN3, DH, PV1, PV2 and TT with a term not exceeding 12 months.
  • Sign visa LĐ1, LĐ2 has a term of not more than 02 years.
  • Sign visa DT3 has a term of not more than 03 years.
  • Sign visa LS, DT1, DT2 has a term of not more than 5 years.
  • When the visa expires, a new visa will be considered.
  • Visa validity is at least 30 days shorter than the validity of a passport or international travel document
